Blood is not only Red in Color?

Do you know that blood is not only red in color? Blood is composed of the White blood cells (WBCs) , Red blood cells ( RBCs ) , Platelets and Plasma.

The Plasma which forms around 55 % of the blood is yellowish in color . It contains nutrients essential for our body. Platelets are responsible for blood clotting which prevents excessive bleeding when a blood vessel is injured. White blood cells act as soldiers and protect our body from infectious disease and foreign invaders. Red blood cells caries oxygen to the body thru the hemoglobin.
